In DND and DND-like rules, the power system is usually simplified into an abstract ladder - kill monsters to gain experience points, when it is full, level up and learn new skills.

Learning is still an essential part.

Take the priest as an example. His magic may come directly from the response of the gods.

Read ancient classics or learn the correct usage of the Holy Emblem and the profound connotation of the doctrine under the guidance of a senior bishop.

This power system will inevitably lead to the gap between rich and poor and classes being infinitely widened.
